Mind Clutter Keep or toss it?
What’s on your mind right now?
Do you need it?
Is it useful to you in any way?
OR
Is it something you need to let go?
Mind clutter is not so different from room clutter, or even computer hard drive clutter.
Do you have a Junk room, junk drawer in your home, or a junk folder on your computer?
Keeping things you “think” you might need later, but in fact they have been there since the Ice Age! Things you haven’t even looked at since you don’t know when.
Somewhere in your mind, you have a junk chamber. Junky thoughts you think you can use later, but instead they have been there so long with no usefulness they just sit there cluttering your mind and keeping you from finding harmony in your life.
You may not even realize the effect these junky thoughts have on you. They’ve been there a long time, and they affect your daily decisions.
Mind Clutter can keep you from:
Focusing
Relaxing
Balance
Success
Just to name a few.
What do you do with clutter?
Do you throw it away or empty the recycle bin on your computer because you know you no longer need it?
OR
Do you move it to a new area because you think “If I empty this or discard this, I will surely need it later.”?
Make an effort and take time to de-clutter your mind. Something that can help you with this task is cleaning cluttered space in your house or, if you are more comfortable working with your computer, delete some files you no longer need. It will help your mind focus on what is needed and not needed. Once you are set, you can start to decide what is no longer useful to you for your life.
Cleaning the clutter is important for your personal growth and harmony. Start with things you KNOW you need to discard.
I will offer a couple of examples here, and then you can take it from there.
Regrets: Realize you are accountable for your choices and actions then let those past regrets go! You do not need regrets. Regrets are mind clutter. Take only what you need from the experiences and discard the regret! Bye-bye regrets!
Guilt: Again, realize you are accountable, then let that guilt fly out the door! Guilt can cause you to make poor choices and not take opportunities you should take. Hit the road guilt!
I think you get the drift. You are strong, intelligent, and ready to move forward with your life. Live your life to the fullest. Lose the stumbling blocks by letting go of your mind clutter. It is empowering!. You might even surprise yourself! You owe yourself a better life, a better way, and a better YOU!
Go forth and de-clutter and be your magnificent self!
Peace,
